Dartmoor, Where The Ponies Roam Free

Dartmoor, Where the Ponies Roam Free

A herd of Dartmoor Ponies gallop down the northern flank of Bellever Tor while crepuscular rays shower the treetops of Bellever Forest.

This is one of my oldest photographs and totally unplanned. I wish I could have taken it differently (the sky is a little blown-out), but as with any spontaneous photo hindsight is always worthless.

This photo, along with others, appeared in Michelle Dibb’s paperback: “Dartmoor: Into The Wilderness” (June 2011).
