Belstone is a pretty little village located outside Okehampton on the north-eastern flank of Dartmoor National Park. Being located on the edge of the moor it is the ideal start, and finish, for many local walks. Some of the more popular walks include The Nine Maidens, Belstone Tor, Higher Tor, Oke Tor, Winter Tor, Scary Tor, Taw Marsh, Cosdon Hill, Cullever Steps and Steeperton Tor.
The village consists of a small village green with medieval stocks, a number of houses, the beautiful church of St Mary the Virgin and The Tors public house. You will often see ponies walking around the village and sheep grazing on the hillside above the cleave.
